Cross-country Ski-ing
They do a lot of ski-ing on the marked-out trails in the Clashindarroch Forest,
5 miles west of Rhynie on the Cabrach road.

Books Abroad
. . . This charity has a warehouse in the 'Industrial Estate' at the north end of Rhynie.Their photocopier is available to the public. 10p a copy, and it does enlarging etc
Sends educational books to the 'Third World'.
Always has a weird and wonderful selection of books for sale, not expensive.

Meeting at 10am on Thursday mornings, near the church, for a stroll.
If people are keen, this could become regular, with longer outings.

Community Council
Read their minutes herewww.community-council.org.uk/TapONothCommunityCouncil/news.asp Meetings are about once a month, in Rhynie OR Gartly OR Kennethmont OR Clatt. They are unintelligible, because they launch into where they left off in last month's discussion, without explaining 'the story so far' to any newcomers. And they hate vegetation: they are always complaining about some hedge or roadside bank that is 'unkempt', but they never complain about the places where somebody has strimmed and sprayed some nice plants to death in the cause of 'tidiness'.
